How do I become a cheerleader?
Basically, you attend camp for try-outs and Try Out! It's that simple! You do, however, have to have a cumulative G.P.A. of at least 2.0 and be a student in good standing at McClatchy.

Where can I find Mrs. Douglas, the advisor?
Mrs. Douglas is located in room N-35, which is in the corner of the lunch quad area.

Which squad do I try-out for?
If you will be a Freshman or Sophomore the following year, you would try-out for Junior Varsity. If you will be a Junior or Senior, it would be Varsity.

What is the responsibility of a cheerleader?
A cheerleader must attend all games, practices, and special events. She must fulfill all financial obligations and maintain at least a 2.0 G.P.A.

When are try-outs?
Usually try-outs are held around April or May. Keep a look out for posters and/or announcements.
